Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

JARDET is committed to upholding the integrity of scientific publication. The ethics and publication malpractice statement of JARDET is based on the Code of Conduct of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), available at www.publicationethics.org. This journal follows the COPE Core Practices, available at  https://publicationethics.org/core-practices .

In accordance with the COPE, ethical oversight observed by JARDET includes, but is not limited to, policies on consent to publication, publication on vulnerable populations, ethical conduct of research using animals, ethical conduct of research using human subjects, handling confidential data and of business/marketing practices.

Ethical Guidelines for Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to JARDET attest that:

  • Every author listed in a journal article should have made a significant contribution to the work reported. This could be in terms of research conception or design, or acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of data.
  • As an author or co-author, you share responsibility and accountability for the content of the article.
  • The article is original and is their own work without any falsification of data or plagiarism.
  • Proper citation is made of publications from which methodologies, information and/or concepts were obtained.
  • Ethical protocols and standards in research were followed.
  • Acknowledgement of funding sources and disclosure of any conflicts of interest has been made.

Where two or more authors have prepared an article, JARDET requires a designated Corresponding Author. In signing the Consent to Publish and Transfer of Copyright form, the Corresponding Author warrants that:

All named co-authors have authorized her or him to act as an agent on their behalf.

All named co-authors have authorized her or him to sign the Consent to Publish and Transfer of Copyright form on their behalf.

All named co-authors have agreed the order of names given in the article.

Addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list if any, cannot be made after the manuscript has been accepted, subject to the approval of the journal Editor. To request such change, the corresponding author must submit to the Editor: (a) the reason for the change in author list and (b) e-mail confirmation from all authors that they agree with the changes.

Ethical Guidelines for Editors

The editors of JARDET hold the ethical responsibilities as stated in the "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors".

Editors should consider unbiased consideration to manuscripts submitted for publication and ensure an appropriate peer review process.

JARDET editors may reject a submitted manuscript without formal peer review if they consider it to be inappropriate for the journal or outside its scope.

Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

The review process of JARDET is carried out on the principle of double-blind review. Reviewers do not contact the authors directly, and the reviews and comments are conveyed through the journal management system.

Reviewers must give unbiased consideration to each manuscript submitted and must declare any conflict of interest before agreeing to review a manuscript.

Reviewers must keep the peer review process confidential, must not enter the unpublished manuscript files into databases, and must not use artificial intelligence tools to generate manuscript review reports.

Confidentiality

Publication Staff are expected to respect and uphold the confidential status of materials submitted to the Journal and should ensure that material remains confidential.

Plagiarism. For originality, the editors use Similarity Detection software to help compare the text of submitted papers for similarity prior to the review process. A 20% or less similarity is acceptable for JARDET publication; otherwise authors need to revise their papers.

Use of AI tools. The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is permissible solely to improve readability and language. JARDET follows the COPE guidelines and policies regarding the use of AI tools.

Conflicts of interest. No conflict of interest should be declared in the manuscript submission checklist. If there is no disclosure, the following statement will be published: "No potential conflict of interest was declared by the authors.

Reporting Cases of Research Misconduct or Violations of Publication EthicsTo report suspected or verified research misconduct or violations of publication ethics, the first course of action is to notify the JARDET Editor-in-Chief through email at [email protected]. JARDET Editorial Board Members consult COPE resources for guidance to address the misconduct or violation. JARDET updates the affected parties and processes erratum, corrigendum, or retraction as necessary. 

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Journal's Options For Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

Concerns about the published articles should be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief. Editors are in charge of any author-requested revisions. Errata, corrigenda, and retraction can be used to remedy any errors or faults detected in the publication after the request has been accepted.

Corrections are strictly limited to, for example, errors of spelling and phrasing that affect meaning, data errors, or mis-citations.

In case of retraction, COPE’s Retraction Guidelines are followed. The article will not be downloadable as a file. Instead, a ‘Publisher’s Note’ will be added to the article title linking readers to the retraction notice.
